This ethos sets the stage for compassionate and knowledgeable yoga instructors to flourish. Our curriculum delves deep into yoga philosophy, mythology, and history, bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary living. You'll explore how these timeless teachings can be practically applied in today's world. Additionally, you'll develop a solid foundation in Ayurveda, the ancient holistic health system, discovering practical ways to integrate these teachings into your daily life. 

Our approach seamlessly integrates practical teaching skills with the cultivation of compassion and empathy, empowering our students to become impactful yoga instructors.

Moreover, our training includes an in-depth understanding of biomechanics. We cover key aspects of anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga practice, providing insights into the nervous system and essential responses like flight, fight, freeze, and fawn. This understanding is crucial for creating a supportive environment that nurtures both the physical and emotional well-being of practitioners. We ensure that new yoga teachers feel confident in their understanding of the human body in motion and its emotional intricacies.

This program is designed for individuals seeking to enrich their own yoga practice and/or embark on the initial stages of teaching yoga. By participating in the Tranquil Lotus Yoga teacher Training, you will  gain a profound insight into yourself, develop the skills to nurture a well-rounded yoga practice, and acquire the confidence to lead an exhilarating and meaningful yoga classes.

About the program 

The Tranquil Lotus Yoga teacher training program is thoughtfully structured to accommodate students who are balancing other commitments such as full or part-time work. Our curriculum is organized around weekend intensives, allowing flexibility for students to continue their employment and maintain a healthy work life balance, while participating in the program. Additionally, we offer individual mentoring and tutoring sessions to provide personalized support and guidance.

With a maximum of 12 students, our semi-private training ensures that each participant receives ample opportunities for teaching practice, feedback, and support. We believe in the importance of allowing time for the absorption of material and practical application of information, fostering genuine connections within the group over the course of 6 months.




Throughout the program, students will have numerous opportunities to apply their knowledge through teaching experiences. Furthermore, each student will receive a complimentary membership to both, Tranquil Corners Yoga studio and Living Lotus Online studio for the duration of your training. This membership allows students to maintain their personal practice throughout the training and experience a variety of class styles and sequencing.



Our Tranquil Lotus Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training will be conducted at Tranquil Corners Yoga studio, located at 65 Big Bay Point Rd, Innisfil, ON.

This serene and welcoming space provides the ideal environment for deepening your practice and immersing yourself in the transformative journey of becoming a yoga teacher.

Led by Tracey Holton (E-RYT 200 and RYT 500, CYA-E-RYT 500, and YACEP),  and Carole Carter, (E-RYT 200 and RYT 500, CYA-E-RYT 500, and YACEP), our program draws upon over 35 years of collective teaching experience and personal practice in diverse yoga styles, ensuring a top-tier training experience. With expertise and enthusiasm, Tracey and Carole empower participants to unleash their individual talents through yoga, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Course Outline

  1. Anatomy & Physiology: Dive into key aspects of anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga practice, including the skeletal system, muscles, nervous system responses, and safe movement biomechanics.
  2. Study of Asanas: Master complete sequencing for balanced classes, understanding individual benefits of asana, pranayama, and meditation, while ensuring safety and alignment principles.
  3. Study of Pranayama: Explore the historical context and therapeutic benefits of pranayama, mastering techniques such as Ujjayi and Nadi Shodhana to cultivate a deeper understanding of breathwork.
  4. Study of Meditation: Discover the benefits of meditation for mental, emotional, and physical well-being, exploring various schools of meditation such as mindfulness & loving-kindness.
  5. Study of Energy Systems/Bodies: Delve into koshas, chakras, nadis, and bandhas, understanding their significance in refining internal energy and promoting overall well-being.
  6. Yoga Philosophy: Engage with major yogic texts to uncover timeless insights into the nature of self, consciousness, and the path to liberation, integrating profound teachings into personal practice and teaching journey.
  7. Teaching Methodology: Focus on trauma-informed and inclusive practices, empowering students to become impactful and compassionate yoga teachers by prioritizing understanding and accommodating individuals with trauma histories.
  8. Other Topics: Explore yoga philosophy, mythology, and history, bridging ancient wisdom with modern-day living, and gain a solid understanding of Ayurveda for holistic well-being integration into daily life. Additionally, delve into pre-natal yoga teaching and restorative yoga.

By covering these topics comprehensively, our program ensures a top-tier training experience, empowering participants to unleash their individual talents through yoga within a supportive and inclusive learning environment led by experienced instructors Tracey Holton and Carole Carter. 

How to Register

Investment Details:

  • $50+hst non-refundable application fee.
  • Upon acceptance of application, a $450+hst non-refundable deposit is required which is put towards tuition balance.
  • Early Bird Pricing: $3500+hst, (must be paid in full by Aug 1, 2024).
  • Regular Rate: $3950+hst (must be paid in full by Sept 1 2024).
  • Payment plans are available; please inquire for more information.
  • Bursaries are available on a case-by-case basis; please inquire for more information. Application deadline for bursaries is Aug 13, 2024.
