Apple Cider Vinegar Toner

Hello! Thanks for popping by our blog today¬†ūüôā I wanted to share my new favourite recipe for a home made apple cider vinegar toner!

I went off the birth control pill almost a year ago, and my skin changed like crazy! I became prone to cystic acne all over my face, and painful whiteheads were popping up all on my forehead.

I tried so many drug store products that only managed to dry or dull my skin, but never healed my acne woes.

Out of sheer desperation, I started googling and saw a lot of people raving over Apple Cider Vinegar, claiming it the miracle DIY toner. Nothing else was working, so I thought I would give it a shot. I really wasn't expecting much- to the point that I never took any before photos!

After three weeks, all of my painful pimples have disappeared, and my skin is the softest, brightest it's ever been. I swear by this recipe and have been recommending it to everyone I've talked to. And it's super easy and only two ingredients!

Apple Cider Vinegar Toner Recipe

This is the recipe I recommend when you're just starting out. That way, if you don't find it works for you, you haven't lost a lot of vinegar.

1/4 cup filtered water
1/4 cup organic Apple Cider Vinegar
(I use Filsinger Organic Food Sweet Apple Cider, but Bragg is also great!)

In an empty bottle (I use an old toner bottle I cleaned out), mix water and apple cider vinegar. Also, make sure you shake it up before each use, to ensure that it hasn't separated!

You can definitely increase the amounts too. The toner has a month shelf life, so I normally do 1 cup of each and use twice daily!

To Use: After you've washed your face, our a drop or two onto a cotton pad. Rub lightly in a circular motion, starting from your cupid's bow and working your way up your nose, across your forehead, and down your cheeks and jawline. Let dry. Follow with your favourite moisturizer.

Note: If you have sensitive skin, I recommend starting with 1 cup water to 1/4 vinegar.

And that's it! See how easy it is to switch up your products to affordable, all natural products? My face is loving it, and I've actually gotten compliments on my new glow.
